I have dreams. You have dreams. We all have dreams for icecream! ...Or something like that. Now I don't mean dreams at night. Though I have dreamt of icecream before... Real dreams (oxymoron?) Goals. Things you want to do. Pre-bucket list.
What do you dream about? I personally have gone through many 'phases' of dreams all of which shaped me to be who I am today. When I was little I dreamed of being a Garbage Man, now I dreams revolve people I will help since I became a Missionary. However, those aren't the only ones. There are short-term, long-term and my favorite completely unrealistic dreams.
The first two are pretty easy. Short-term dream/goals are like losing a bit a weight, getting a job, getting homework done and their long-term counter parts losing a lot of weight, having a successful career, and graduating, but what are completely unrealistic dreams?
Fantastical goals you can never accomplish. Simply put in place to keep you in line. Me I always have said that I would like to have a body like Michael J White. Yeah. My bones probably couldn't support that much muscle nor would I even look right that big, but by always looking up instead of giving up since I can't/won't happen I stay in line.
I also strive to be like Jesus, but I know that can't happen, but I can always strive to be like Him. I can't be perfect, but I can be close. Like this haiku I wrote a while ago...
Essentially saying I can't be perfect but that doesn't mean I won't try. I will try and succeed, not because I will accomplish the dream but because I did my best and that is really what counts in the long. Like the phrase I've been hearing a lot lately "You'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the things you did."
And I don't wanna hear the back talk and excuses. It's too much!.. Well look up don't give up! That door closed in my life... then knock it down. It's just impossible... test God with the impossibility.
