The Moon

There is a phrase that pretty much everyone knows. "Aim for the Moon. If you miss, you'll land among the stars'. Its by W. Clement Stone in case you were wondering. He also said, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve." Both really good, but I'm going to focus on the former... especially with the super-moon having just recently passed.

Aim for the Moon. If you miss, you'll land among the stars. Essentially saying that set your goals/dreams high, so high in fact that your worst case scenario isn't a worst case scenario.

Not a bad landing spot... 

Of course, in my experience it has been more of a 'I'm going to do what I can to land among the stars and then got hit by the moon,' but that is a different story. 

But what if its cloudy? You know the phrase, "the moon is hiding behind the clouds?" What do you do when your hopes, dreams and goals are hidden behind fear, indecision and doubt? ... I don't know.

I know I know. How could I not know? At some point in time my moon has been behind the clouds sure, but it terms of what to do. I have nothing for you and there is a reason. The moon hiding behind the clouds is purely a perspective scenario. The moon isn't hiding its hundreds of thousands of miles away. The clouds are at most 8 miles away. So who is really hiding from who? 

When our vision is clouded by doubt, insecurities, sin, people what have you; we immediately think that maybe it wasn't meant to be, it just isn't in the cards, or it isn't God's plan, blah blah blah. Its all pish posh, because no matter how thick the clouds are the moon can't hide behind them. It simply too big anyways. The moon is always there waiting, not hiding, waiting. 

Just hold fast no matter the situation because clouds aren't permanent. They can't be.. it would be a very dry, hot place otherwise and I for one don't like the heat so much. I have personally given up on most of my dreams only to find out almost a decade later that I can still do all them. Even when you momentarily (momentarily used loosely) look to the clouds and then down at your feet the moon is still there... waiting for you to pick your aim back up.

I know there are some of you.. "detail oriented" people out there that say what about the new moon phase when the moon can't be seen. Always trying to throw wrenches everywhere. Even on a cloudless night during new moon.. it is still there and no it isn't hiding. 

Our dreams don't hide from us they simply wait for us to reach them. That is it.
